Moses received 10 commandments on Mount Sinai,

The Journey continues in the book of Joshua, leading the Israelites and conquering the promise land of Canaan. |
The ordered account of the journeys listed in Numbers chapter 33, lists 42 locations. This is counting the Egyptian city of Rameses and the final site before crossing the Jorden river. Omitting these two sites gives us the number 40. Theologians over the years like the symbolism of numbers as does God also like certain numbers. Both number 40 & 42 are found many times in scriptures, a quick account is given below.
the number 42I have used the heading of "42 plus campsites", for there are other campsites or names of campsites mentioned throughout the scriptures that are not included in the Numbers chapter 33 account and we should not simply ignore these, here are a few explanation for this:
