(1) Waters to blood | The rivers, streams, ponds and pools within Egypt turned to blood. Pharaoh's magicians could reproduce this. The plague lasted 7 days | Pharaoh's heart was hardened. |
(2) Frogs |
Frogs covered the land of Egypt, in the houses, bedrooms, ovens and kneading troughs. Pharaoh's magicians could reproduce, Plague most likely lasted one day | Pharaoh gave false promise to Moses, and afterwards hardened his heart. |
(3) Lice |
All the dust of the land of Egypt became lice, covering man and beast. Pharaoh's magicians could not reproduce this. No mention of time | Magicians told Pharaoh "It's the finger of God", Pharaoh's heart was hardened. |
(4) Flies |
Swarms of flies were upon Egypt, but not one fly was in the land where the Israelites resided. Plague most likely lasted one day | Pharaoh gave false promise to Moses, and afterwards hardened his heart. |
(5) Cattle |
All the Cattle of the Egyptians, the horses, asses, camels, oxen and sheep were struck dead, but not one of the Israelites was struck dead | Pharaoh's heart was hardened. |
(6) Boils |
Boils broke forth onto all men and beast throughout the land of Egypt. Pharaoh's magicians could not stand before Moses due to the boils | The Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart. |
(7) Hail |
Hail and fire smote all of Egypt both man, beast, every herb and tree of the field, But not the Israelites. All who feared the word of the Lord took cover in their houses | Pharaoh said, I have sinned, gave Moses a false promise and later hardened his heart. |
(8) Locus |
Locus covered the face of the earth, they ate the residue from the hail and every tree Pharaoh then told Moses that the Israelites could go with their cattle and flocks | Pharaoh said, I have sinned, gave Moses a false promise and then hardened his heart. |
(9) Darkness |
Darkness that could be felt fell on Egypt, but the Israelites had light in their dwellings. Pharaoh said go serve your God but leave your cattle behind. Darkness lasted 3 days. | Pharaoh would not let the Israelites take the cattle and the Lord hardened his heart. |
(10) Death of the firstborn |
All houses, Egyptian and Israelite, that did not have blood on their doorposts, their first born, both man and beast, died. Pharaoh's son also Thus started the Exodus of about 600,000 Israelites out of Egypt | Pharaoh told Moses to leave taking their men, women and flocks, but the Lord shortly after the Israelites left hardened Pharaoh's heart. |
