26And He said, So is the kingdom of God,
as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed
should spring and grow up, he knows not how.
28For the earth brings out fruit of itself, first the blade,
then the ear, after that the full grain in the ear.
29But when the fruit has been brought out, immediately he
puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.
MKJV |
- The seed is the Word of God within you, and if it is watered and nourished,
it becomes a fruit bearing tree for the kingdom of God.
- All of man's worldly human knowledge cannot explain how the kingdom of God
increases in our life. But, if we believe and desire the kingdom, waiting for
it with a patience expectation, the kingdom will root and grow in our life.
- For the earth, (the soil is symbolic of man's heart), brings out fruit of itself,
first the blade, then the ear, after that the full grain in the ear. The only
condition in this parable is that man's heart has to be receptive to the seed.
And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the
kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes
not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold,
the kingdom of God is within you, Luke 17:20-21.
