Pluralism, claims all religions to be equal and valid.
The definition of pluralism is:
Quality, state or instance of being plural
The holding by one person, of two or more offices at the same time.
The doctrine that there is more than one kind of ultimate reality.
A theory that reality is composed of a plurality of entities.
Pluralism may be PC correct, but lets question a few things:
There's every religion out there from: belief in Christ, eastern
religions, humanism, witchcraft, Satin worshipers, etc. What ones are valid,
or are they all valid?
If they are all valid, what about religious doctrines that contradict
other religions? If they are not all valid, where do you draw the line?
Well the bottom line is: if it works for you, it's right for you.
What about people who convert to other religions;
can you change your values at will?
Does the Bible speak about pluralism?
The Bible talks much about not serving false idols. We can personally make an idol out of
most anything. Not only can an idol be an image that we bow down to, but it can also be a voice
or leading that we follow that we give our time an attention to. Scripture warns us not to make
idols or images of false gods, and also not to be led astray by the things of the world. I see
both of these as being a form of pluralism or simply a distraction from the one true God.
Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a
standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it:
for I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 26:1.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are
of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit
that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit
of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world,
1st John 4:1-3.
Rather worship and serve the one true God.
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things,
and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom
we live, 1st Corinthians 8:6.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12.
Conclusion:
If you highlight everthing, you really hightlight nothing:
It is a controdiction to believe that all things are ture.
Jesus tells us that if we, lift up the Son of man and continue in His Word,
then you shal know the truth and the truth shall set you free,
John 8:28-32
