The law vs. grace
Keeping the law
The ten commandments are generally thought of as the law, however there are also several
Levitical laws, (for the priests), general laws, laws for the feast days, laws in
preparing your sacrifice, plus laws that the religious leaders made
- Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a
curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Galatians 3:13.
- The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law,
1st Corinthians 15:56.
- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23.
- For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without
law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Romans 2:12.
We are now under Grace rather than the law
For no man can perfectly keep the law
- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8
