Our essential Christian Foundation
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, Genesis 1:1.
- The Bible does not try to prove the existence of God, rather it builds upon the foundation that, "God was in the beginning". It is essential to have this foundation before applying further beliefs.
- God created all things, both seen and un-seen:
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: Colossians 1:16.
- All things were created by God, {man} has an internal knowing and they are without excuse.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in the flesh.
- Moments after the fall of mankind, God spoke of a plan to redeem men.
God said to the serpent, Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle,... And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; {Christ} He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel, Genesis 3:14-15.
- For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, Isaiah 9:6.
- Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh, Romans 1:3.
Jesus Christ lived a sin-less life.
- Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: 1stPeter 2:22
Jesus Christ, crucified, died and buried, Recorded in the four Gospels
- He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth, Isaiah 53:7
By His death Jesus Christ took our sins upon Himself, being made sin for us.
- Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father, Galatians 1:4
Jesus Christ, ascended to heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father.
- Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the WWWord of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3
- Jesus said unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God, John 20:17
The Holy Spirit, (the third person of the Godhead) given to us as a Helper.
- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13
- And because ye are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father, Galatians 4:6
