by faith recieve your healing
Faith is more than academics:
I was hesitant to accept this, perhaps due to working in the technology field for twenty five years and having the academic mind-set that comes with it, for this was what I knew best. Perhaps it was also due to pride, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast", Ephesians 2:8-9. Faith must be from the heart and not just the head. "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith," Hebrews 10:22.
Faith is essential:
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him", Hebrews 11:6
What is Faith:
Faith is simply believing God's Word to be true and that what He has promised He is able to perform, Romans 4:21 "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen", Hebrews 11:1. There is power in the Gospel! I have always been personally convinced that there is power in the Gospel. "For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power," 1st Corinthians 4:20.
Jesus has completed His work:
It was all done for us two thousand years ago on the cross, When Jesus said, "It is finished!", John 19:30. For we have every spiritual blessing, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing...." Ephesians 1:3. We simply need to put into use what we already have.
Our part then is to simply believe:
We need to believe that God's Word is true and that He has done what He said He would do. We need to live out our faith, "for faith by itself, without works, is dead", James 2:17. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us", Ephesians 3:20. We need to live our lives by the faith of the Son of God, believing in the Spirit and fully expecting the promises of God to be fulfilled.
Believe and you shall receive:
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever", Hebrews 13:8. God has not changed!, His Word has not changed! It is still as true as it was two thousand years ago. People were healed by the Word two thousand years ago and people can be healed today by the Word. If something is not working, The Word is not at fault, the Word works!
