Matthew 15:21-28 | Mark 7:24-30 | ||||||
21And going out from there, Jesus withdrew to the parts
of Tyre and Sidon.
22And behold, a woman of Canaan coming out of these
borders cried to Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter
is grievously vexed with a demon.
23But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples
came and begged Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries after us.
24But He answered and said, I am not
sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, help me!
26But He answered and said, It is not
good to take the children's bread and to throw it to dogs.
27And she said, True, O Lord; but even the little dogs
eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' tables.
28Then Jesus answered and said to her,
O woman, great is your faith! So be it to you even as you wish. And her
daughter was healed from that very hour. MKJV |
24And He arose from there and went into the borders of
Tyre and Sidon. And He entered into a house and desired no one to know it. But He
could not be hidden.
25For a woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit,
heard of Him and came and fell at His feet.
26The woman was a Greek, a Syro-phoenician by race. And
she begged Him that He would cast the demon out of her daughter.
27But Jesus said to her, Let the
children first be filled. For it is not right to take the children's loaves and to
throw it to the dogs.
28And she answered and said to Him, Yes, Lord, yet the
dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29And He said to her, For this saying
go, the demon has gone out of your daughter.
30And when she had come to her house, she found the demon
had gone out, and her daughter lay on the couch. MKJV |
