Did God make / create the darkness, (evil)?

God is not the author of evil

According to Isaiah 45:7, it seems to says He did.

⁶. . . I am Jehovah, and there is none else; ⁷forming the light and creating darkness; making peace and creating evil. I Jehovah do all these things.

God created all things, but He is not the author of evil

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth", Genesis 1:1. and He said that His creation was good, very good. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made, John 1:3.

God created all things, He also made Lucifer, which fell and is now called Satan or the Devil, Satan perverted what God had made and is over the evil that we see in the world today, for He is the prince of this world, John 12:31.

God does no evil, Satan is the author of that The thief comes not, but for to steal to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and they might have it more abundantly, John 10:10.

Conclusion

God created all things, John 1:3, least we accredit Satan as being able to create.
When people ask the question or put forth the statement that God created the darkness (evil), it is out of their own personal bias towards God. They are purposely phasing a question to accuse God of being less than the good Father that He is. For God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all, 1^stJohn 1:5.
Thus, we see that God's absences is darkness and that He has No part in the darkness, rather this is Satan's realm, he controls the darkness, for he is the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:2.
