Bible covenants and what are we under today?

Bible covenants / agreements were made in the Old Testament with God and select men, but now we are under the New Covenant, a better covenant that was fulfilled by Christ and not by man. The problem with the covenants made between God and men, was that men would always prove cause that could break the covenant. However, now the New Covenant has been made and fulfilled by Christ and man cannot break it, for it was not made with men, rather it was made by God and through the Godhead for men.

Covenants made with men in the old testament.

• With Noah: Genesis 9:8-17

  Never again shall all flesh be cut off by flood waters.

• With Abraham: Genesis 15:7-18

  I have given this land, (the promise land of Canaan) to your seed.

• With Isaac: Genesis 17:19-21

  I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah, your wife shall bear.

• With Jacob / Israel: Genesis 28:13-14

  I shall give you and your seed the land on which you walk on, And your seed shall be like the dust of the earth.

• With David: 2^nd Samuel 23:5

  He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things.

The new covenant, that supersedes the others, fulfilled by Christ: Luke 1:68-79
