Matthew 9:27-31
27And when Jesus passed on from there, two blind ones followed Him, crying and saying, Son of David, have mercy on us. 28And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. 29Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith let it be to you. 30And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See, let no one know. 31But going out, they made Him known in all that land.

Insights
  • The blind men acknowledge Him as the Son of David and Lord. This was revelation on their part, for Jesus was known to most the people as, "Jesus of Nazareth." Revelation of the Word comes from the Father, as Jesus said to Peter, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven, Matthew 16:17..
  • They were persistent! After their pleas went unanswered, they entered the house, still seeking their healing.
  • They believed that He was able and willing to heal them and that healing could be theirs. for when Jesus asked them if they believe -- they said; "Yes Lord",
  • The healing miracle was solely reliant on their faith, for Jesus said; According to your faith let it be to you. Faith is a currency in Heaven and if we wish to see the Word work for us we need to operate in it.
  • They pursued their miracle and we also need to actively pursue our healing miracle.
