Mark 9:38-41 Luke 9:49-50
38And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out demons in Your name, and he does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us. 39But Jesus said, Do not forbid him. For there is no one who shall do a work of power in My name who can lightly speak evil of Me. 40For he who is not against us is for us. 41For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, truly I say to you, He shall not lose his reward.

Insights
  • Do not forbid any good work that is done in the name of Jesus! Speaking and sharing the great commission that Jesus gave us and commanded us to do should be every born-again believers first priority. It does not matter who you are or who you may be affiliated with.
  • Jesus called each of us to go out and share His Word, to go to all the world and preach the gospel to all nations, baptizing them, heal the sick, with signs of speaking in new tongues and casting out devils.
