Matthew 8:16-17 Mark 1:32-34 Luke 4:40-41
16And evening coming on, they brought to Him many who had been possessed with demons. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick 17so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, He took on Himself our weaknesses and bore our sicknesses.

 32And at evening, when the sun set, they brought all those who were diseased to Him, and those who had been demon-possessed. 33And all the city had gathered at the door. 34And He healed many who were sick of different diseases, and cast out many demons. And He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

 40And the sun sinking, all, as many as had sick ones with different kinds of diseases brought them to Him. And laying hands on each of them, He healed them. 41And also demons came out of many, crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God! And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak; for they knew Him to be the Christ.

Insights
  • In these accounts when it mentions the sun going down or evening coming on, this is most-likely signifying the ending of a Sabbath day, now allowing the people to travel distances again. Even with man's law based mindset, Jesus is still willing to heal, He healed all that came to Him.
  • The people were expecting, for they brought their sick to Jesus, this also required, the people to have, compassion on their sick.
  • In Matthew's account it was recorded that the Old Testament scripture might be fulfilled, He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses, Isaiah 53:4-5. God has fulfilled His Word through Jesus and by His stripes we are healed, 1st Peter 2:24.
  • All that come to Jesus get healed, it is our choice whether we come to Him or not. Many people were thronging Him, but only the woman with the issue of blood was healed, Matthew 9:18. It is the same today, all that reach out and touch (connect) with Jesus get healed. You can throng Him (touch Him) in the physical and come up empty, or you can reach out to Him in the spirit and be healed.
