Mark 3:23-27 Luke 11:17-22
23 And He called them and said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan rises up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27No one can enter into a strong one's house and plunder his goods, except he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
MKJV
17But knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. And a house divided against a house falls. 18If Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons through Beelzebub. 19And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 20But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, no doubt the kingdom of God has come on you. 21When the strong man, fully armed, guards his dwelling, his goods are in peace. 22But when one stronger than he comes, he overcomes him. He takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and he distributes his arms.

  • Jesus put forth this question to His disciples, and then He taught them about having a divided kingdom, thus answering the question.
  • A divided kingdom cannot stand. God is good and the devil is bad, it is that straight forward and simple. Even the power that satan does manage to obtain through our ignorance and by his deception, he uses for either manipulation or destruction. There is nothing good about satan at all.
  • The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly, John 10:10.
